Kevin Kisner expresses concern for Tiger Woods after Florida DUI arrest

Kevin Kisner, an American PGA Tour golfer and teammate of Tiger Woods on the Jupiter Links squad in The Golf League (TGL), voiced concern for the 15-time major winner following his DUI arrest in Florida on Friday.[1][2]

Kisner shared his thoughts from the NBC broadcast booth during coverage of the Texas Children's Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, on Saturday.[1][3]

"Very disturbing. He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape," Kisner said. "He signed up for the U.S. Senior Open yesterday. He was trying to do anything he could to come back and try and help our TGL team, get ready, hopefully try and play the Masters."[1]

"Just a really unfortunate incident, I guess, Brad (Faxon), the only positive is that nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better," he added.[1]

TGL, co-founded by Woods and Rory McIlroy, features six teams competing in a simulator-based format at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The league's inaugural season begins January 21, 2025.[2]

The arrest followed a rollover crash on Jupiter Island involving Woods' vehicle, according to authorities cited in reports. Woods was charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a urine test -- all misdemeanors. He was released from Martin County Jail later Friday.[1]

No injuries were reported in the incident.[1]
