The Masters Champions Dinner is an annual pre-tournament tradition held on the Tuesday before the first round at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The event is attended exclusively by past winners of the Masters Tournament, with the menu curated by the reigning champion.[1][2]
Rory McIlroy, a professional golfer from Northern Ireland competing on the PGA Tour, has won four major championships: the 2011 U.S. Open, the 2012 PGA Championship, the 2014 Open Championship and the 2014 PGA Championship. A win at the Masters would complete his career Grand Slam, joining the ranks of five other players to achieve the feat.[3]
McIlroy, ranked world number 2 as of late 2024, finished tied for second at the 2022 Masters and tied for 22nd in 2024. He has recorded six top-10 finishes in 16 Masters appearances.[3][4]
The 2025 Masters Tournament, the first major of the season, is scheduled for April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Club.[5]
The champion of the 2025 event will curate the menu for the 2026 Champions Dinner, continuing the tradition first established in 1952 by Ben Hogan.[1]
